Curriculum
We follow the National Curriculum as well as additional subjects. Sometimes we take a more modular approach and select a topic that is taught across the curriculum to enhance depth and learning.
Our curriculum, like the National Curriculum, aims to develop the children's ability to learn and to achieve but we place even stronger emphasis on the cultural development and above all the raising of their self -esteem. We find that if children enjoy school, have fun, feel good about themselves and are interested and stimulated, good results and achievements follow.
We aim to:-
- Nurture the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, creative and physical well-being of the children.
- Meet the individual needs of each child.
- Stimulate children’s curiosity as well as desire and love of learning.
- Give children the confidence to take risks and learn from mistakes.
- Encourage children to take steps towards independent learning.
- Encourage children to listen to, and value, the opinions of others.
- Motivate children to persevere.
- Value and nurture the process and outcomes of learning.
