Drama
Drama is timetabled for half an hour each week from Year 3-8. In fact this is flexible and in July the whole school puts on a show, this is often a musical but sometimes a straight play. Rehearsals and prop making take up most of the timetable in the three weeks prior to the show. We consider it to be time very well spent and have never regretted the loss of academic time. The development of confidence and personality consistently aids those transferring to secondary education.
We usually have two dramatic performances each year and, weather permitting, have performed very successful outdoor productions, the most recent of which was an open-air production of "Peter Pan". The children gain a tremendous amount of confidence and everyone is involved.
